Note to self: make sure the game is definitely completable.
Ok, well, this is embarrasing. When I submitted the project, I was sure to check and double-check every outcome and every variable because the large amount of choices required a lot of internal switches to switch at the correct times.
So, uh...
I probably should've also checked the switches that allowed the game to be actually completed.
Well, you could complete the game - provided that you did it in the very first loop. After the first failure, there was just absolutely no way to complete it cause the person who had to help you, "remembered" you visiting them in the previous loop, and refused to give you what you need to progress.
And nobody once asked if there was anything wrong - every single person who played this game, unless by sheer luck they managed to complete it on the first try, probably left thinking "damn, I guess I'm too dumb to see the solution", because the solution sequence was actually pretty obvious to notice.
All of that because I forgot to place like 3 switches and never replayed the loops enough to check if they worked as they should.
In conclusion, 1. I'm a dum-dum, 2. You should spend every possible moment after you think the game is complete, to check ALL the possible loose ends. 3. I'm sincerely sorry to all the players who probably spent an inordinate amount of time on it, trying to find a solution that was held from them.
UGHHH.
It's fixed now, btw, so if anyone wants to give it another go and actually experience the final sequence as it was supposed to play out, be my guest.
I'll give a hint: after the punch, go to friend.
Oh, and I'm planning on releasing an updated version with re-drawn graphics and some narrative fixes, so wait for that as well!
UGHHHHHH.
